Back on the Alaska Hwy, after the Churchill Mines Road excursion, continuing north.

Mile 410

McDonald River.

Mile 415

Typical scenery along this stretch. Sometimes the Hwy runs very close to the mountains.

Mile 423

Sorry, I don't know the name of that mountain straight ahead.

Mile 430

Along the Toad River.

Mile 439

Me and the moped. Photo taken by a biker I met along the way - that's his bike in the photo.

I found that motorcyclists that I met along the way regarded me with disbelief, that I would ride the "tiny" moped all the way up here from Toronto. And they almost always stopped to chat.

Mile 439

Deep within the northern Rockies, it was a challenge to keep my eyes on the road surface (because it's an unpaved road) and not the scenery!!

Fortunately, on a moped, one is going slow enough to take in the scenery, and it is easy to stop to takes pictures, or simply admire the view.
